Says the Artist: "My printmaking comes from an eclectic blending of unlikely Art mediums. My roots began in Ceramics, grew in Photography, and blossomed with my growing interest in painting and printmaking. Norman Cousins once said, and I quote, 'The great tragedy of life in not Death, but what dies inside us while we live'. I want to breathe new life into that which we all, to a degree, have lost. Color, the child within us, and a sense of whimsy are all components of my work. Without these elements my work would lack heart, feelings of the new, and the love for lost values, all fundamentals my teachers instilled in me. Without these reference points to fuse the viewer to my images, there will be no point to my work. Anyone can take a picture of Hawaii or paint a famous place, I want to show those places and things, as well as places that are missed, less obvious, overlooked or just left out of works that are in abundance today. My goal is to express in a fresh way, a light-hearted, spirited, Art work, filled with joy and happiness."
